Paul Cleden, Andrew Pavitt & Hugh Ribbans At CycleMiles

When Paul Cleden, printmaker and illustrator, agreed to work with CycleMiles – Art of Cycling Gallery we thought he didn’t know who he was talking with.  We’re new, just getting going.  OK, we love his prints and want to show and sell them to our discerning customers, but really, has he gone mad?

But no . .  not mad.  Seems like Paul like the cut of CycleMiles – Art of Cycling Galleries Jib . . . so to speak.  He knew we were already working with another fabulous printmaker, Hugh Ribbans and wanted to join the in the CycleMiles – Art of Cycling party.  Well Paul, no need to speak with Hugh, everything is fine . . . we always pay on time.

. . . and then when we managed to twist Andrew Pavitt’s arm to come and work with us . . . bingo . . . Oh Yeah! . . . Eat that, Tate Modern . . . it was like all our lottery numbers had come up and we were on a roll.  Andrew has already had an exhibition at ‘Look Mum No Hands’ in London and Jack Thurston of the ‘TheBikeShow’ radio station commissioned Andrew to illustrate the cover of his FAB . .  UL . . . OUS, just published new book, ‘Lost Lanes – 36 Glorious bike rides in Southern England.

Andrew has even said to us . . . “Great to meet you Miles and exciting to be involved with such a great venture” . . . again . . . clearly we’ve pulled the wool over Andrew’s eyes . . . but we have his beautiful, amazing, prints to show and sell and we are very grateful to you Andrew . . . really, thank you.

And, don’t forget, Hugh Ribbans, the first and original CycleMiles – Art of Cycling printmaker.  After, pretending we knew John Paul Getty and telling Hugh we knew where we could get lots of shiny bicycle bits . . . at great value . . . we got Hugh on-board . . . although, he’s always asking lots of awkward questions, like . . . “When is the CycleMiles – Art of Cycling Gallery going to open?” . . . oh Hugh, don’t trouble yourself with such matters, leave it to the men and women in suits . . . just keep cutting your beautiful lino prints and we’ll keep showing and selling them.  CycleMiles has also collaborated with Hugh on some cards of his prints.  Can you believe it . . . our logo on the back of Hugh’s prints . . . oh yes . . . Result.  Hugh’s wise and know’s CycleMiles – Art of Cycling Gallery is going to be bigger than  .  .  a really big thing.

So . . . if you like your art with a good dollop of cycling . . . you know where to come and buy the next Picasso as a special present for yourself or a loved one . . . Go on, you’re worth it and Hugh’s, Paul’s and Andrew’s work is very very good.  Remember, you heard it hear first . . . well, after LMNH, but they’re bigger than us and have been going longer.
